SYMPHONIC CANTATA WITH FRENCH TWIST
Coventry Evening Telegraph, June 9, 1971

The first symphonic-pop cantata has been released by A. & M. Records - "Wings" (AAUH 63503).

It is the premiere work of new, young French composer-artist Michel Colombier, who has worked on the album for almost three years.

Recorded in both Paris and the U.S., it is sufficient to say that Herb Alpert handled the production.

Soloists include Sergio Mendes, and other performers featured are Herb Alpert, Paul Williams and Vermettya Royster - backed by a 25-piece jazz orchestra, rhythm section, electrified string trio and a full symphony orchestra.

The classical musicians were drawn from the Paris Opera and Opera Comique of Paris symphony orchestras and join with the others to make this a fabulous LP.
